Join us for a night of unforgettable enchantment as the classic tale of the Wizard of Oz comes to life on stage at the Sondheim Center!

In this outstanding production of the Wizard of Oz you'll see flying monkeys fly off with Dorothy and Toto; Glinda, the good witch, traveling in her magical bubble; characters thrown around by the tornado; the wizard himself and the witch magically appear and disappear as the creative crew integrates an innovative technique that truly captures the magic of the tale!

The Wizard of Oz will feature a newly conceived and soon to be filmed multimedia package. Way Off Broadway, in conjunction with Producer Kent Hofmeister, will be filming the actual actors in front of a green screen and a combination of real footage and paintings, created by local artist Alicia Carradus. This technique highlights the essence, adventure and wonderment of the Wizard of Oz.

All the magical moments are part of an environment that truly marries live theater with the most iconic moments of the movie as part of this production.

Way Off Broadway favorite Miranda Lawson, who played Mary in J C Superstar as well as many other roles in Hair, Spelling Bee, Hairspray, Time Out of Rhyme, returns to play Dorothy, the ever-charming girl from Kansas trying to find her way home.
