Fairfield Area Community Theatre -- Fairfield’s only true community theatre -- presents "Willy Wonka" on Thursday to Saturday, June 16 -18 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, June 19 at 2:00 pm.
Roald Dahl's timeless story of the world famous candy man and his quest to find an heir comes to life in this stage adaptation of "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory," which features the songs from the classic family film "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" starring Gene Wilder. The memorable score features "Candy Man", "Pure Imagination", "Oompa Loompa" and "I Want It Now" by Academy and Grammy award winners Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley.
This is a truly delicious summer show featuring many seasoned and new FACT players with an 80 member Oompa Loompa chorus. Artistic Director Scott Slechta (with Diana Flynn) and Musical Director Jim Edgeton (with John Grunwald).
